2012 Tournament Dates and Locations Added

The 2012 State and Regional tournament locations have been added. Check the Tournaments section for the latest. Additional information for each tournament will be added as it becomes available.

Congratulations Mineral Area

Mineral Area, MO is the 2011 10U Midwest Plains Regional Tournament Champion. They beat Bismarck, ND 19-3 in the championship game Sunday afternoon.

League Presidents, District Commissioners:

Tournament time is just around the corner. Remember State dues of $5.00 per team must be in to Missouri Babe Ruth and rosters need to be filed online with Headquarters before LOE's will be issued. You must let your District Commissioners know which tournament teams you will have no later than July 1 so that he can set up your district brackets and sites.

2011 - No host family housing for any Cal Ripken at State Tournaments. At the Regional level, the host has the option of housing. New bat rule will be in effect at Regional tournaments. You should have received an e-mail on this from headquarters this week. You can go online for legal bats at www.nfhs.org for 13-15 and 16-18 division.

There will be an 8 year old machine pitch state tournament in Marionville on July 28th. Each chartered Rookie league or Division may choose to send a team this year. There will not be any district Tournaments. As with any other age group you must let your commissioner know before July 1 if you are sending a team. Remember there is no fee for sending a team to tournament play in any Babe Ruth Tournament. There is a fee if you are hosting a district or state tournament.

At the 2011 state meeting it was requested that the defending state champion in 16-18 division would receive an automatic birth in the following years state tournament. It was voted down 6-0.
